MUMA (McInnes Usher McKnight Architects) designed the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries at Westminster Abbey, situated in the abbey’s medieval triforium—an elevated space 16 meters above the nave that had never been accessible to the public. The galleries house around 300 objects that narrate the history of the Abbey. Haysom Purbeck Stone supplied Purbeck Grub for the Glasbau Hahn display cases, ensuring material continuity with the Abbey’s historic stonework. These cases are engineered to be lightweight while maintaining stable environmental conditions suitable for the preservation and display of the artefacts.
