Purbeck Inland Freestone
Information
Inland Freestone is a prized fine-grained and durable limestone composed of tiny crushed fossilised shells. This pale limestone has a soft and subtle fossil pattern which varies in tone through the height of the block from beige to buff. This stone’s subtle texture creates a refined, understated look.
Inland Freestone has been used for architectural masonry for centuries, with buildings like Newton Manor in Swanage- built in the 1700s- demonstrating its durability. It also makes an excellent choice for landscaping, and we regularly supply setts for use in contemporary garden designs.
